>My iPaq plays MP3 just fine. Without using flash cards, I have to choose my 5 favs each morning before heading off to work. With headphones, the sound isn't bad.

5 songs to last 12 hours... Nah. I'll buy an MP3 player. :)

>A company was making a device with a Pentium I in it that had this. Haven't heard from them in about a year though.

Really? Here I was expecting you to say I was nuts. :) Actually, making the device probably wouldn't be hard. Trying to get the "dumb terminals" distributed all over the place would be the hard part.

>I hear ya. That is my dream. The iPaq is close.

The iPaq is pretty nice from what I've seen. If they stuck a 20GB drive on there and made it a USB "server" (don't know what you would call the opposite of periphial) so I can dump my camera images to it, and keep it light and under $500, I'd be sold.
