well, time ago i make the same question, the best tools writing in C, staroffice, winamp, VisualFoxpro, Games, why dont learn C?, well when you apps with 2 to 5 five peoples is too hard find people (like Vfp people :) but you learn a new world, is like learn guitar classic and later play rock and roll, the guitar classic is more complex but when you know play rock and roll is a game, the techniques for put a program in c to work is more complex like the techniques in VFP or VB, but the times in dev is much more longer and more complicated, after all : the life is too short to program in C++
