No.. That would have been Paul the Apostle telling Timothy, his protoge' to continue to do what God had called him to in 1 Timothy 6:12:
"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses."
Timothy had been commissiond by Paul to strengthen several local fellowships and Paul was trying to encourage him to keep going. For more contextual information I'd suggest reading the 6th chapter of 1 Timothy I'd suppose.
