Unfortunately, adding a window and setting talk on would output irrelevant information to said window. I had a tip printed in Foxpro Advisor long ago to suppress such output.

Your post said nothing about altering the title, which is why your suggestion as stated would not have helped.

Furthermore, the query progress bar only appears when the query is big enough to warrant it. Your window would have to be visible for the title to show and it would appear even when the query progress bar doesn't. Which, while it would permit me to augment the message, would look awful.
