Hello
It can be related to bad Network Harware as I have had similar problem
that appears ok now since network os version updated, a good Baystack switch, installed and client software on workstations updated, + cheap NICS replaced with Intel ones

Are you using Buffering and Transaction Processing as well. If so optimistic buffering is best to use.
