>I upgraded my AMD K6-2, 400mHz with 256megs of 168pin DIMM RAM. Only $78CAN ($50US). Woah, super cheap!. This is the last upgrade before I sell this. Win XP in October will dictate how soon this system is replaced.
Evan;
Good price - more memory is something a machine can make good use of.
For comparison, I build my then super machine (100 mhz CPU ) for the introduction of Windows 95 and Visual FoxPro 3.0, July 1995. I had 16 meg of RAM at that time and it cost $750 for the RAM alone. Well, that price is better than the S-100 RAM card I bought in 1982 – 64K of RAM for only $795.
Just had a machine built for my wife and had 512 Meg of RAM installed for less than $100. The times they are a changing.
