Actually the article I read suggested using property bags as a transport mechanism between layers. I.E. the server and client component.

It seems they can be persisted to disk and stored as binary files in the database ect.

They are supposidly very,very fast. However, the article was about VB.
I just figured it might be possible to store some of my field meta data this way
and return it from objects.

I'm working on a VB Active X dll for this so I can try it out.
