You might have a point there. I found that if I put a BROWSE command after the SELECT mytable command, then it will save something to the record on a REPLACE.

And when I did a ? faxreq.myfield1 and ? faxreq.myfield2 they came up blank until I either did a GO TOP or BROWSE command after the SELECT mytable which makes it sound even more like I am at EOF.

Hmmmm... I wonder how I am getting to EOF. I only have one record in my table. I have a timer control doing SCAN... ENDSCAN and should be starting at the top of the table. I will check that code again. Thanks for the clue. I hadn't thought of that EOF() condition, but that's probably the problem.
