IMO app should be run from the local drive and foxuser shoul be stored localy too. The most important thing from perfomance point of view is to point foxpro temp files to local drive.
The best place to specify foxuser location is CONFIG.FPW but you can also use SET RESOURCE TO command in case if you need to change it dynamically.
