Thanks for kicking in. No index has changed and there is no grid on the form. Subsequent testing has determined that no form will open in the new EXE--it says the tables have moved, and that I need to validate the db. I did, several times, to no avail. Any other thoughts? I am just baffled by this.

>Make sure no INDEX has changed as defined in the initial index for the file. Also check rowsources as defined in grids.
