Just delete the lnk file. You can remove the Program menu item by simply deleting the folder. In order to do this properly, you'd need to resolve the location of these special folders (Start Menu, Programs, etc.) To do this you'd use something like the WScript.Shell object in the Windows Script Host or a DLL like my Lnkfiles.dll from the download section.
