Not unless the Dept pays my way, and since we are moving away from VFP I don't think that will happen. If our experiements using a browser to access data on an Oracle backend work out it won't make much difference what OS is on the desktop or what the GUI-RAD tool is. Qanta+ on Linux would work as well and cost a LOT less than propriatary solutions. No doubt, however, I will be using VFP6 to maintain current apps for at least 10 years, and that, most likely, will be on WinXX, but not WinXP. We certainly won't be going to .NET. When I am working with IRS data I have to log who casually walks by my cubical, on the off chance they may glance at my CRT and see someone's data! There is no way state or federal data would ever be put on a Passport server, especially since Russian cackers own the WinXX platform anyway. Go to http://www.grc.com and read Steve Gibson's trials and tribulations trying to keep his W2K web servers going against script kiddie DOS attacks.
