Doug,
While you can emulate with VFP grid I think it's much easier to do with an Activex grid. MSDatagrid, MSFlex and MSHflex (HFlex is more consistent) would do the job. They already have a leftmost column (1 or more) support natively. Data if huge OTOH would be slow.
