Hi!

Probably, you're using asynchronous connection and fetching as needed for some remote view. This way connection will be busy for any other SQL commands until you get all records fro remote view. Let me know if this is true.

I would suggest to create another connection and run SQL-UPDATE command on SQl Server using SQL Pass Through functions SQLConnect and SQLExec.
