I frequently saw this with both FP & VFP, simply because they had no
graceful (or quick) way to shut themselves down. After adding ON
SHUTDOWN QUIT as one of the first lines in the .EXE, this problem went
away. It now shuts itself down very nicely -- unless it truly has
frozen.
