Hmm... you shouldn't need to disable DHCP. On a Linky the default DHCP scope (assigned addresses) is .100 to .149 inclusive. Your server's IP is fixed outside this range so DHCP won't interfere with it. All that disabling DHCP does is (inconveniently) force you to use fixed IP addresses on all your other computers as well (unless you have another DHCP server on your network).
