>Initial response from Microsoft upgrade to VFP 6.0 is this a viable solution for you (I was shocked don't they think I could of tried that on my own if it was realistic). My question is why isn't that posted in the knowledge base anywhere? What a waste of $200 I highly recommend you keep the money in your pocket.
To make matters worse, that $200 could have covered 2/3 the cost of the VFP 6.0 upgrade...
Did they close the support case? If not, say no, upgrading is not an option unless you refund my $200 for this call :)
Ok, I finally found the settings I used to have to use with FoxPro 2.6a for Windows on fast machines even after the speed "fixes". I used it on for machines running 95, 98 and NT. Maybe I'll help you with VFP 3 as well.
The PC configuration files needed to be modified:
c:\config.sys file:
FILES=100
BUFFERS=30
In the config.fpw file
MEMLIMIT=75,2048,5120
Let me know if this does/doesn't work for you...
