Got confused when I saw VFP 6 and did not look at the code. It has been a l-o n-g day.

Here is one that Microsoft has no answer for. I have an ASP page - using ADO, and SQL Server 7.0. Using OLEDB, I made a connection and brought down the desired data set, after creating a very complex form. All was well - life is good and all that.

Next step, take the same form and change the data source to another dbc also SQL Server 7.0 - on the same box. This is the production data base. It would not work properly and I got desperate - so I went back to ODBC and it worked. I was not getting properties like page count, etc. Next I went to our DBA and he did not believe it until he saw my code and tried it for himself. Called Microsoft and they have no answer. So, I am stuck with ODBC and going "live" on Friday morning. No time to wory about using the latest technology - I am just happy it works at all!

Being a programmer can be so much fun. Well, I am going to take my guitar and go to the flamenco dance class tonight and take out my stress. Beats hitting my head against the wall!
