I'm not sure that it's really needed. You are trying to replace ADO function by VFP code. Lets ADO do it's work. I think that native C code and C++ collections based on hash tables will be much faster than interpreted VFP code.
Simply use field numbers where it possible and use field names when you don't know exact structure of data.
