>>The VFP 7.0 book will be published on September 1, 2001. You can rate the book - NOW - 1 to 5. That seems fair enough. Do they have a minus scale? After all, I have nothing to go by except previous offerings. In all fairness I should be allowed to vote.

>>These types of books have been with us for a while. I remember one author who had credits for FoxPro 2.5. When FP 2.6 was released - the cover changed and the contend remained the same. The author was given credit for two published FoxPro books. Some VFP books are "lacking" in technical content while others are great.

PMFJI,
I have the same comment for "Hacker's Guide to Visual FoxPro 6.0". The 3.0 version is excellent. We're looking to move up at my company, so I perused the preview pages from Hentzen. Except for 1 or 2 line changes in SOME of the examples, and the addition of only those things specific to v6.0, the book is IDENTICAL to v3.0.
I reccomend the book to anyone that doesn't already have the earlier version, but for the upgrade cost, not to anyone who already has v3.0.
