John,

>Doug, find where I've called you (or anyone else) any of those. You can't. Come on, now.

You have never done that whatsoever. Others have though I could care less. It was just that as a result I thought I'd put a few labels on them in return. <g>

>Excited about the future? Me too! That doesn't stop my speaking out where I perceive problems... actually that is one of the duties of a citizen of a democracy as I recall. Speaking out makes for a more honest, appropriate future- even if the rest of the town disagrees with you.
>Sorry you think man will destroy himself. That'll leave woman to carry the race forward... they might be quite pleased about that!

John, I have no problem with pointing out problems. None whatsoever. Let's use the Doctor/Patient analogy.

I want my doctor to not always point out just the negative issues.

I want my doctor to not always point out just the positive issues and possibly miss a curable situation.

I want my doctor to discuss both.

Some here seem determined to only see the negative or bad side. I am suggesting that there are both. What is so difficult, do you think, about that to apprehend? <g>

I think that VFP has been steadily moving forward since FoxBase 1.0 days. I also think that more could be done. I am thrilled to see yesterday's VFP7 RTM. I'm quite confident that there will be a SP1 as there always seems to be some 'gotchas' after a release. So what? That is normal but some seem to think it's the end of FoxPro. I don't get it I guess.
Best,

DD
