I guess SET NOCOUNT ON was the problem...I stripped the sp's in question down and added things back, and they work now.

I a little puzzled, because SET NOCOUNT ON was already in my troubled SP's when I started looking at them again today, and they were *not* working when I left the office yesterday.

Are there any possible caching issues on the server?
