Thanks for responding. At least I know that what I came up with can't be totally screwy, if even one other person came up with the same idea! <g>

A follow-up question...the checkboxes that I create on the fly are part of an external ASP page that's referenced via a SRC keyword in an in-line frame. On my main HTML filter page, the RESET button doesn't reset the values of the checkboxes in a page that's referenced via a SRC statement...it only seems to reset the checkboxes that are 'directly' on the main filter HMTL page. Is there a way around this?
