Have you ever had to write a major VB application? That could be part of the reason for the insecurity expressed by VB'ers. I have seen VB projects that failed due to a number of reasons - experience, approach, budget - you name it.

I have done things with VB that seasoned VB programmers thought impossible. The reason for my success is simple - experience - I know what a good application should consist of and find a way to accomplish what is required. But I must say that you write a hell of a lot of code to do anything in VB!

One set of figures gives a ratio of 9:1 of VB to VFP developers. Perhaps they simply want to make that 10:0.
