Hi Jace,

I use ProMatrix and I'm very satisfied with it (I've never used FoxExpress). I think the company's philosophy is to build a product that helps you be very productive and build good apps. The focus is there instead of on the latest technologies. The current product is a full-fledged OO framework. It is very good for building desktop and client/server applications, but if you want to do n-Tier or Web stuff, they aren't there yet IMO. ProMatrix Data Server is in the works, which will be their web-based solution, but no target release date has been announced. Support on the newsgroups is excellent. Like Aaron said, your choice primarily depends on your needs. If your immediate need is client/server, ProMatrix will do very well for you. If you are looking to implement an n-Tier system, it won't do as much work for you. I believe both products will continue to evolve to enable the latest generation of applications.
