Hi Hardik,
Yes, it did create only an .APP file. Someone had mentioned that this could have been caused by having a readonly .bmp file in the project, but I do not have one in this case. The only graphics in the project is the .ico file for the .exe's icon. I eventually upgraded the file to 5.0 and was able to compile it correctly, but would love to know why I'm having the problem in 3.0 because I have more projects in 3.0 that I don't want to HAVE to upgrade should I make a change to them.
Thanks again,
_Craig

>>I've come across a problem when using Build EXE (or the Build Executable option in the project window) whereby VFP builds an .APP file even though I'm specifying an .EXE to be built. How can I get this to work correctly? Any help would be most appreciated.

>>PS. I have both VFP 3.0 and VFP 5.0 installed on my PC, in case this fact could be contributing to my problem.
