254 limit ? You mean for portion displayed in combo or SQL itself. If latter then workaround is to make it a memo field. If first I'm afraid no way directly with a combo :) Then you'd drop using combo this way and use 2 controls overlapping eachother, one editbox and one combo. For simplcity then do not make comining in SQL at all. After selection set editbox value, zorder. On gotfocus , zorder to back, set focus to combo. I know it's doable for I did it in the past with textbox+combo.
