I didn't mean they had no value at all. I'm just saying the client side VFP cursor is more useful than a client side ADO recordset because the VFP cursor can be subclassed to add custom functionality. Switch to using ADO for data access and you might as well use VB because your giving up VFP's best feature.

XML is quickly replacing become the standard for messaging.
