I have a field imported from a text file that is the two character year indicator (96) followed by the day of the year (numeric). For example, if the field contained today's date it would appear '96220' because today is the 220th day of 1996. Julian date conversion (sys(10)) does work on this 5 character field. Has anyone written a clever little routine to determine what the DATE is from a field like this?
