>I talked to a group who recently decided to invest in a Framework. They narrowed the choices down to three, but they made their final decision by sitting in a conference room together and reading portions of the manual to each other. The manual is a great way to evaluate how the framework fits your needs and development style.
Jim;
That is a great idea! I would like to share this with the UT - I posted it on the VisualMaxFrame Forum recently - hope you get a laugh out of it.

About four years ago I purchased version 3.0 of VMP. At that time I took the train from Santa Clara to Palo Alto, California – about 20 miles. I took the tutorial to work and on the trip home began reading it. I became so engrossed in the tutorial that I missed my stop and had to ride to San Jose, due to falling into the famous “programmers black hole”. After a 4-mile walk, I found myself at my car, parked at the Santa Clara Station. The conductor forgot to call out my stop she told me later. The bright side is I did not “wake up” in Los Angeles!
Guess programmers are strange – becoming so focused on a technical manual to allow yourself to miss your stop. The latest version is even better reading. Just be careful about where you are when you read it!
