Yes it does. At one time saving to "text" was an option, but now it is the default.

And the "two-way" architecture of Delphi is the same for Kylix (Unix "Delphi") and CBuilder (C++).

The beauty of Delphi, etc, is you get the source (as text) to their entire Visual Component Library (VCL) ... all the "base" code for textboxes, grids, treeviews, listboxes, forms, etc.

Great for understanding existing component behaviour or coming up with totally new components. If fact, I use Delphi's VCL to guide the designs of my VFP components. IMO, Borland always did a nice job of designing classes.
