Ok, I'm dragging this waaay off topic, but this caught my attention while skimming through. :)

I remember when I was a kid seeing commercials advertising speed reading lessons. I thought it was cool, then, but when I grew older figured it was a scam. I didn't think it was possible to read a book as fast as you can flip through the pages.

Now 1200 wpm isn't quite as fast as they were showing, but still a heck of a lot faster than I read. Any suggestions on how to learn how to do it?

Thanks,

Michelle

>Yes, I too feel that the only chm file easy to use and of real value is from the Hackers Guide. I am a speed-reader and read over 1200 words a minute and find myself many times with 5 different books open and reading from each one on a specific topic. That ability got me through engineering college and then on to history and political science degrees. Try that while working full time as an electronic technician, married and doing major remodeling on our house and scanning a computer to "read". To be honest – I hate to read anything on a computer – the screen is too small to allow me to read quickly – it is as if I am looking through a pin hole when I should be using all my vision.
