I have been to the last 5 Advisor DevCons. All 5 have been in high dollar resort areas. Unless you plan to take the family so at least someone can benefit from all the amenities, I could no longer justify the cost of not only the registration fee, but also the cost of the resort area. The Connections DevCons are following the same path. Each year, on the evaluation, I request some sanity be returned to at least the type of location they select. While the organizers may look at this as a semi-vacation to them, that is NOT the way I looked at it or paid for. This is the major reason I decided to switch to WhilFest. BTW, I decide to do this BEFORE I was selected as a speaker there this year.

I would also image late October in Milwaukee will be quite pleasant. You will get the same information at both, but you can compare the topics by going to each respective web site.
