Installation, Setup and Configuration
Hi Jess,
There are a couple of options here:-
1) Windows Terminal Server (there are other similar products).
2) Dedicated PC in the server location configured with a pcAnywhere type program that will allow you second PC to connect to it over a modem - only the screen updates are sent down the line as the application is run on the dedicated PC. The downside is you will really need a dedicated PC for each possible user wanting concurrent access.
3) Build off-line data replication into your application so that the remote PC can be run stand-alone. Another alternative here is to convert your application to store your data in SQL Server and use it's built-in replication.
If you have only one remote user point 2 is the cheapest and quickest to implement.
Regards,
Aaron
