I'm sorry to hear that. I don't know of any message reader where the next button doesn't take you to the next message in the visible list (except, of course, UT). Even CompuServe's Web Interface (generally the standard for poor message reader interfaces) does that.

I would say then that the weakness in the system is that the top frame does not follow your progress in the bottom frame. Undoubtedly the two should be linked. When you hit the next link then the top frame should show you where, in the list of messages, you are.

But, obviously, it's your baby and you'll do with it what you want.
