Yes, indeed. I think XML would make an ideal "universal object definition language". In this case, I would like to see it adopted by all platforms, and not just VFP.

Perhaps, every program would have a specific "program section" that would use the XML syntax for screen definitions, record definitions, "menu definitions" and similar hierarchical "structures" (hmmm ... almost sounds like COBOL).

XML works great with ListBoxes and TreeViews when it comes to getting a quick bird's eye view.
