Hi!

Installed VSS from the Visual Studio 6.0 CD on W2K and it works ok.
Maybe you require to install any product from Visual Studio before installing VSS (just to install certain components and DLLs)?

>what i have done is installed visual souresafe 6.0 with SP5 installed that is running windows98SE. i added my projects and all that and it all seems fine. the problems occurs when i try to install the client software onto a windows 2000 machine. i couldn't even get the netsetup to run from the win98 machine and so went through the CD to install the client side. it did install but won't run. it keeps saying "an error has occured in the ssexp.exe file." what the hell?? what is going on? can i run vss on win2000??
