Joel,
>I'm having a problem getting an ActiveX control installed properly at a client's site. We use TX Text Control 8.0 as an integrated word processor for mail-merge purposes in our application. Using the VFP Setup Wizard, I created a package that includes the ActiveX Control. This works perfectly on our machines at the office. When our client attempts the install, all of the files copy, but the Activex control can't register. We get the error: TX4OLE.OCX Unable to register itself in the registry. Attempting to register the control manually using RegSvr32 returns: DLL Register Server. C:\path\TX4OLE.OCX Failed. Return Code 0x800004002. ...

Hmm..., I can't tell You about the Error code either but sometimes the OCX's really do have problems with the wrong versions of the MFC.DLL's. Sometimes they also depend on other dlls's. So You should check their Help file or ask the support about what to take care of, when distributing the control. I am using 'graphics server' for charts and they even require a certain order of registering the several ocx's and dll's with regsvr32.

Do you have blank spaces in the path ? regsvr32 has problems if You don't use the correct hyphens (? I mean theese things: " or ' ). If so try to play a little with the registering strin or even better do copy the control into the NT's system32 subdirectory. Than You are on the safe side (also concerning the system's searchpath).

Hope this helps
