Check out wwXML -- download file 1029 here or at www.west-wind.com -- and a follow up piece -- download file 1254 that is a subset of the above, but corrects some features.

wwXML requires the IE 5 XML DOM Parser, but, if your needs are straightforward, that could be reengineered in VFP code.
