The problem is that he didn't open up Foxpro - he ran an application. If I create an application in VC++ (& most other languages) & run the application, I don't get the development environment window open up too. Also, unlike Word & Excel in your example, if I close the main form, the Foxpro window disappears - if I close all the documents in Word & Excel the enclosing window, as you yourself state, does not disappear.

You are used to the quirky nature of Foxpro, which is NOT similar to the majority of Windows development tools & definitely unlike Word & Excel. You obviously know that you specifically have to hide the main Foxpro window, others do not. Your sarcastic response was completely uncalled for.
