437 ? It's US code page and should you have the least problems with it.
Now Turkish code page settings for DOS is 857 and Windows 1254. I mark DOS Fox2x tables with 857. Have this line in confgi.fp (for fox2x DOS):
codepage=857
My VFP config.fpw has (and Fox2x for win):
codepage=1254

Both could be set to 'auto' if that ever works for you (windows works for me but not DOS one unless I open full DOS mode). OTOH I prefer to explicitly put codepage there.

I can open and edit the tables both in VFP and FoxDOS freely (and we have at least 3 chars that only exists in Turkish).
