We do here for stuff from old Legacy programs (FoxPro 2.6 to Visual FoxPro 6.0).

For instance, the basic sourcesafe functionality within Fox5 does not work on all our machines, but does work in Fox6 (other machines, neither version properly works). The padlock icons will not show up in the software denoting if something is checked out or not, and you are not able to check something out within Fox5, you must do it within SourceSafe. Any ideas how to fix this?

Dunno.... I have to turn OFF in VFP6.0 the option of using VSS explicitedly for it to work correctly WITH VSS from the Project Manager.... go figure???!!!

>2) FXP files. SoureSafe likes to make everything 'read only' unless you check-the-files-out. We have checked in all our FXP files with all our forms/programs (30+). So when we do a 'get latest version' it asks us 30 times if we want to overwrite our existing FXP files, and we have to either say NO, or if we say YES, make sure the new FXP files are writable. What is the best way to handle this? I am wondering if we should NOT check these files in to begin with?

Not run into that one yet... but haven't done a "get latest version" yet either.

Nah.... then your foot would hurt (from the door slamming shut on you).. versus the headaches from programming....
