Hi Juan,
Perhaps you should just create an exe/dll that has the timer and the form.
When you run the exe/dll via CREATEOBJECT("MyBackGroundForm"), it starts a timer. That allows you to return to your interactive program. When the timer event fires in the other process, the background form runs.
