I found what was causing it to be bass-ackwards. When I first set my app to use the security manager, I must have had some problems, and wound up setting the lsecuritysetupmode=.t. as the default setting in my security mgr class.

You must be simply toggling the property and not comparing it's current value with the menu option. No problem, but maybe you may want to tweak it for the next version.
