I realize that my question was too broad. But, thanks for the suggestion. It is that I was surprised to know that ORACLE couldn't multitask all the process (my perception). All I can do now is to try to re-program the stored procedure, and try to make it simpler. The SP basically does multiple select (complicated) and inserting or updating temporary table. Sometimes I have to use cursors and loops. I guess, at the moment I have to read and study the materials in the link you gave me. Thanks.
