Hello Eric,

Thanks again for your continued help. I should have been more explict. I'm trying to open Excel from Word (2000). I've done this using examples in my "Microsft Office Automation with Visual FoxPro", By Della Martin which and who has been a great help. BUT much of the syntax doesn't work from Word.

For instance:

oWorkbook - oExcel.Workbooks.Add()
oWorkbook - .Application.Visible =.T.

Gets me nowhere.

I'm aware of some of the differences. For instance believe the "Visible = .T." needs to be "Visible = True".

My app is: I have a form (Word/VBA) that (with your prior assistance) allows the user to select a .txt file. I now want to import that .txt file into Excel so that I can move the text, cell by cell, into a label format <>. Also it could be edited/sorted. Are you aware of where I might access some examples. I've several books but would have to read hundreds of pages and still not find the answer. (Mastering VBA 6, VB & VBA in a Nutshell, VBA for Dummies). I'll eventually read these but now I need to get this app done. That's the best way to learn anyhow.

Can you advise. TIA.

Regards,

Paige
