Good point, but I think the machines have enough RAM. During the long pauses there is no activity on the hard drives, and one of the machines in question has 128 MB or RAM, I believe (which is the same as our developer workstations).
More RAM is always a good idea though...I wonder if I can get the admins to give these guys more memory based on this? *smile*
