Howdy,

I figure ya'll would be the best source for information here. I have written a Visual Basic application that used the Windows API calls to modify the registry to save program settings. They are in the HKEY Local_Machine\Software.

We believe all of the users are setup in the same way on the workstation and the servers (same NT Domain, same rights/privleges).

I have one user who logs into the workstation and gets an Access Denied error when the program runs and tries to update a date/time stamp registry setting for the program.

The same user, however, can use REGEDIT to modify the subkey data.

So, any clue as to why they can modify through REGEDIT but not through the APIs?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
GW Gross
