Hi Ken,
I've been looking at and working with the code Scott King posted earlier. It employs the same outerHTML approach you mention but I'm not getting any results. I did change the create() to createobject() but still no soap. I'm pretty new to VFP and object oriented programming (especially with external programs) so I do alot of guessing. Is there some detail I'm missing here with Scott's code or perhaps something Scott felt was too obvious to mention but that a rookie like me should but might not know?
With respect to the version of HTML I want: the returned source is just fine rather than downloading the actual file that may have generated it. As I understand it, in some cases a web address does not point to a downloadable HTML file. This address instead returns HTML source containing freshly updated content which is then painted to the browser viewport. The fresh paint is the source I want, in order to be able to gather the informational content (including strings, etc.).
Please take a look at Scott's code. It's very straight forward but needs help somewhere.
Thanks,
Bob
