The error returned is "PL/SQL procedure created with compilation errors".
The procedure gets created, but it is flagged as "invalid". I have not found a way to get more detailed error information.
If I just enter an Oracle utility and recompile it (without reloading, just hiting "recompile"), it compiles OK, so it is really not a syntax error.
If I cut and paste the procedure code from VFP into a sql+ window, the procedure compiles OK.(And I use the same Oracle account, so it does not seem a permission or rights problem)
Seems that there is something special needed to creating procedures via ODBC in oracle. Is there some kind of special command at the end needed?
I will try to do exactly the same thing with Microsoft ODBC driver for Oracle on Monday. I have had a lot or problems with Oracle ODBC drivers in the past, I would not be surprised to find just one more...
Thanks!
